People Ops Generalist

Runs day-to-day People Operations workflows, systems, benefits, compliance, vendors, and company-wide people programs. The role requires 4–6+ years of HR Operations or generalist experience, strong program management and systems-thinking skills, and experience with automation and AI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Run core People Operations workflows, including onboarding, offboarding, employee lifecycle changes, and compliance processes.
  • Manage HR Operations systems and processes, identifying automation opportunities and reducing manual work.
  • Review and maintain audit-ready compliance documentation across states and entities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns, escalating sensitive matters appropriately.
  • Manage payroll, HRIS, LMS, benefits, carriers, brokers, and other vendor relationships.
  • Administer US benefits, including employee questions and open enrollment.
  • Lead employee engagement, recognition, company-wide meetings, and celebrations.
  • Own performance and compensation review-cycle communications, training, and playbooks.
  • Build relationships with IT, Legal, Finance, People leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Use AI agents and automations to optimize recurring HR Operations work.

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of experience in HR Operations, People Operations, or an HR Generalist role.
  • Demonstrated program management experience, including launching and running company-wide programs.
  • Experience managing payroll, HRIS, and LMS vendors and holding vendors accountable.
  • Systems-thinking ability to map processes, identify friction, and redesign workflows.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements across multiple states or entities.
  • Sound judgment and ability to handle or appropriately escalate employee matters.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, organization, adaptability, and prioritization skills.
  • Hands-on experience with AI agents and automations for HR Operations.
