Director of Product Design

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers (starting with two direct reports), fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
• Serve as both a hands-on designer and team leader, contributing directly to design work while setting vision and direction.
• Own the end-to-end design process for patient booking flows, patient portal, provider software, and internal operations tools.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, clinical, and operations teams to deliver intuitive, effective, and delightful user experiences.
• Balance user needs with business goals, effectively prioritizing work to maximize impact.
• Craft and communicate a bold vision for how technology can transform mental healthcare.
• Establish and maintain design systems in Figma, ensuring consistency and scalability across all products.
• Leverage data, user research, and market insights to inform design decisions.
• Champion the voice of patients and providers throughout the product development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 9+ years of professional product design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing consumer product design work.
• 3+ years of people management experience, leading and developing design teams.
• Proficiency in Figma, including prototyping, advanced workflows, AI and design system management.
• Demonstrated ability to balance user experience, business objectives, and technical constraints.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across disciplines.
• Interest in and excitement for using AI to improve and accelerate the product design and development process.
• Visionary thinking with a passion for pushing the boundaries of what's possible in healthcare.

• Experience designing for healthcare.
• Experience doing and/or managing product research.
