Senior Technical Program Manager - NPI

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for NPI on the manufacturing line, working with cross-functional leadership to plan and organize cut-ins for software and hardware changes for the Zoox robotaxi.
• Define, drive, and develop key KPIs for introducing hardware and software changes to the manufacturing line.
• Establish timelines and drive deliverables cross-functionally to minimize impact to manufacturing operations.
• Coordinate with hardware and software engineering, logistics and supply chain, manufacturing operations, and test team to source, validate, and plan cut-ins.
• Highlight risks, communicate to stakeholders, and evaluate schedule impact.
• Own planning for demand and retrofit, incorporating schedules for trials and validation.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in engineering (electrical/electronics, computer hardware, software, or related fields)
• 8+ years of industry experience in project management and engineering roles, with technical expertise and strong project management skills
• Experience driving complex projects in cross-functional environments with competing priorities
• Excellent communication skills across diverse audiences (senior management, engineers)
• Strong expertise in project management tools: Jira, Google Suite (spreadsheets, slides), Gantt charts

Bonus Qualifications

• Previous experience in NPI roles in electronics or automotive manufacturing
• Aptitude for learning new skills/technologies (e.g., using AI for KPI calculations/reporting)
• Ability to distill complex technical information into clear messages
• Track record managing complex projects at autonomous vehicle companies
• Familiarity with data analysis: Python, SQL, Looker
