Responsibilities
- Drive front office and back office trading systems used by institutional investors to trade, invest, and exchange cryptocurrency assets
- Apply practical experience working with Traders (or as a Trader) to develop and implement new financial products tailored to market demands
- Leverage expert proficiency in both electronic and voice trading to inform technology improvements modeled after Traditional Finance market structure
- Own detailed prioritization of product roadmap, balancing new feature development and technical debt
- Demonstrate deep strategic thinking in shaping product roadmap considering market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs
- Deliver complex, cross-functional projects with multiple dependencies while driving swift execution and maintaining quality
- Drive comprehensive go-to-market strategy and execution, including defining success metrics, tracking KPIs, and iterating based on data-driven insights
- Work closely with engineering and design counterparts to drive product development processes and planning
- Maintain pulse on trading market dynamics and client sentiment to shape product enhancements
- Define and deliver product workflows and solutions that maximize automation in trade execution, hedging, and risk management
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
- Exercise independent decision-making and take full ownership of product strategy and execution
- Contribute strategic insights that significantly impact company direction and product roadmap
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of proven product management experience within institutional trading environments (cryptocurrency or traditional asset classes), OR minimum 5 years of experience as an OTC trader with strong history of collaborative product development with engineering teams
- Experience driving and managing complex projects across multiple teams with exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills
- Deep investment in optimizing end-user experience and leveraging it to create business value
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Self-described as creative, humble, ambitious, detail-oriented, hard-working, trustworthy, eager to learn, methodical, action-oriented, and tenacious
Nice-to-Haves
- Knowledgeable about crypto, active use of self-custody wallets, familiarity with DeFi
- Experience building 0 to 1 products for financial institutions as a PM or developer
