Senior Manager, Sales Compensation

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual sales compensation design process, including selecting metrics, designing plan structures, and overseeing rollout and sales-team enablement.
  • Own administration of sales compensation plans, ensuring timely and accurate commission and incentive payouts, policies, and documentation.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Total Rewards, Legal, and HR to align compensation programs, SPIFFs, and partnership agreements with business priorities.
  • Deliver analytics and reporting on quota attainment, capacity modeling, and compensation effectiveness for leadership.
  • Manage and develop a sales compensation and deal strategy team, including a direct report focused on the financial impact of non-standard deal structures.
  • Analyze and develop strategies for non-standard deal structures and custom pricing.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in sales compensation, sales operations, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of people management experience.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for executive audiences.
  • Deep expertise developing, administering, and communicating sales compensation plans.
  • Experience partnering with Sales, Legal, HR, Finance, and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with compensation platforms and CRM systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with deal desk or custom pricing strategies.
  • Experience with CaptivateIQ, Xactly, or Salesforce.
  • Fluency with emerging AI technologies.

Compensation and Benefits

  • United States base salary: Zone A $188,000–$235,000 USD; Zone B $176,000–$220,000 USD; Zone C $164,500–$206,000 USD.
  • Canada base salary: $205,000–$256,000 CAD.
