Responsibilities
High-Priority Customer Technical Leadership
- Partner with important customers and cross-functional Docker teams to accelerate container and AI journeys, with a focus on developer workflows.
- Gather customers’ technical and business goals and challenges.
- Create and manage engagement plans spanning existing products and new offerings.
- Oversee design-partner rapid-prototyping engagements with engineering and customer teams.
- Create, manage, and deliver custom demos and content aligned with customer use cases.
- Deliver enablement and best-practices content to audiences ranging from developers to C-level executives.
- Travel up to 50% domestically and internationally as a senior representative to prospective clients, customers, and technical alliance partners.
Docker Field Technical Leadership
- Act as a thought leader for a designated area of responsibility, internally and externally.
- Create, manage, and deliver technical content with other Docker employees.
- Gather field feedback from customer, pre-sales, and post-sales teams.
- Coordinate with the Field CTO and Solutions Architects to prioritize field requests for product and engineering teams.
- Work with product and engineering teams on workflow and feature alignment based on customer use cases and revenue impact.
- Serve as a customer zero for new functionality.
- Provide input on internal and customer technical enablement needs and review enablement content.
- Support sales enablement with internal technical training for new products and services.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Architect in complex enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience managing customer relationships at technical and business levels.
- Experience presenting solutions and demonstrations to small and large audiences, both virtually and in person.
- Experience collaborating with technical support, product, and engineering teams to improve documentation, enablement, and product features.
- Experience developing application code and understanding developers’ day-to-day challenges.
- Ability to solve technical problems and translate customer experience into actionable engineering feedback.
- Experience developing collateral that supports best-practice adoption.
- Fluency in English.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, containers, DevOps, and modern application architectures.
- Experience with Docker, container ecosystems, or adjacent technologies.
- Experience with software development, agentic AI development, software development life cycle, or software supply-chain security.
Compensation & Benefits
- Canada: CA$314,300–CA$449,000 OTE plus equity.
- United States: $217,000–$310,000 OTE plus equity.
