Software Engineer, Privacy
Build backend systems and data pipelines that support privacy, legal compliance, and sensitive-data workflows across API products and consumer applications. The role partners closely with legal, trust and safety, and engineering teams to automate customer-data processes.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain back-end systems and services supporting privacy and data compliance functions within API products and consumer applications.
- Work with legal advisors and engineers to respond to court orders and other legal processes while upholding data privacy and legal standards.
- Identify automation opportunities and build tools that enable teams to automate tasks involving customer data.
- Develop and implement data-handling policies and procedures that comply with legal and ethical standards and protect user-data integrity and confidentiality.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience building data pipelines, particularly for legal processes and investigative workflows.
- Ability to translate legal requirements into technical solutions and explain technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Ownership of problems from beginning to end, including acquiring missing knowledge as needed.
- Experience creating workflow tools when existing solutions are inadequate.
- Strong focus on user experience and privacy-conscious product development.
- Background in security investigations or collaboration with trust and safety, legal, and engineering teams.
