Responsibilities
- Work with customers, engineers, and leaders to design, build, and launch products.
- Own end-to-end application development, from idea formation through delivery and customer impact.
- Build and improve APIs, including integrations with third-party services.
- Partner with customer success, customers, and stakeholders to translate needs into useful features.
- Maintain reliable, maintainable code through testing, code reviews, and sound engineering practices.
- Run and measure product experiments to guide future development.
- Build scalable APIs and asynchronous, event-based architecture for very high traffic.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or an engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of full-stack software development experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, React, or similar languages and frameworks.
- Experience in fast-paced startup environments, including founding or early-stage roles.
- Ability to validate customer needs, gain team alignment, and rapidly ship MVPs.
- Comfort with ambiguity, balancing speed and quality, and contributing to product direction.
- Strong ownership, bias toward action, resilience, and delivery focus.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing scalable architectures for 10 million or more users, including observability tooling and container orchestration.
- Background in trust and safety, identity verification, background checks, or criminal data.
- Expertise in data analysis and processing.
- Experience building or working with scrapers and scraping technology.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $185,000–$218,000 USD.
