About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and engage independent retailers to join the Instacart Marketplace
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle for small opportunities
  • Use cold calls and emails to identify new opportunities, drive value, and establish meaningful relationships with local retailers
  • Develop sales collateral, case studies, and custom ‘stories’ to translate benefits of Instacart’s platform to independent retailers
  • Set meetings, follow up with prospects, and drive progress toward partnership goals

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a sales or business development role
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and establish lasting relationships
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving, solution mapping and negotiation skills
  • Time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a strong go to market strategy
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team to achieve individual and team objectives
