Staff Technical Program Manager - Cleared/Security

Leads high-visibility security compliance, certification, and federal authorization programs across cloud, engineering, and government stakeholders. Requires an active Top Secret clearance, classified-cloud experience, and 7+ years of security or technical program management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of security certifications, federal authorizations, and compliance initiatives supporting regulated and government markets.
  • Identify and remove project blockers while maintaining execution velocity in a cloud-native environment.
  • Drive cross-functional decision-making across Engineering, IT, Product, Security, Internal Audit, and Corporate Operations.
  • Refine program and project delivery frameworks for rigorous, agile security initiatives.
  • Manage milestones, dependencies, project lifecycles, and risk mitigation, providing executive-level status reporting.
  • Build collaborative relationships with Security Assurance subject-matter experts and technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret security clearance upon hire.
  • Residence in or willingness to relocate to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in a local D.C.-area SCIF up to 5 days per week during initial buildouts, accreditation pushes, or critical deployment phases.
  • Ability to travel locally across the D.C. region to the Pentagon and customer SCIFs.
  • Direct experience managing complex security programs, including enterprise compliance initiatives and the technical buildout and accreditation of classified cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Top Secret or classified cloud environments such as AWS C2S/SC2S, Azure Secret/Top Secret, or air-gapped high-side deployments.
  • 7+ years of experience in security and technical program/project management with a bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years with an advanced degree.
  • Experience leading security compliance initiatives such as FedRAMP, DoD IL5/IL6, NIST 800-53, CMMC, PCI, or HIPAA from inception through authorization or market launch.
  • Experience managing complex projects with technical dependencies, multiple stakeholders, competing constraints, and geographically distributed teams.
  • Ability to influence and communicate with engineers, senior leadership, and government stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including translating complex project data into clear documentation and actionable insights.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience supporting the U.S. Government, Defense, Intelligence Community, or other highly regulated environments.
