Sr./Staff Technical Program Manager - Copper

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of assigned capital programs, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, development, construction, and handover to operations.
• Build and maintain integrated program schedules, tracking critical paths, interdependencies, long-lead items, and resource needs.
• Own budgets and cost forecasts in partnership with project controls and finance; manage estimates, commitments, variances, and change control.
• Coordinate process development, process engineering, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, business development, finance, vendors, contractors, and engineering partners.
• Run execution planning, design reviews, status meetings, readiness gates, and program cadence checkpoints.
• Identify and quantify risks and open decisions, drive them to closure, and escalate with recommendations.
• Produce program reporting and dashboards covering status, critical path, risks, and trade-offs.
• Manage external partners, vendors, and contractors against scope, deliverable schedules, and quality expectations.
• Use the Capital Project OS to standardize execution, provide feedback to software and product teams, and drive adoption across workstreams.
• Support construction, commissioning, and startup in the field.
• Contribute to program-management standards, templates, and metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of program or project management experience on capital projects in mining, minerals processing, chemical, energy, or heavy-industrial environments.
• Experience owning an integrated schedule and budget for projects spanning multiple engineering disciplines and external partners.
• Strong technical fluency, including the ability to read P&IDs, general arrangements, and equipment lists.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
