Accounting Manager, Tokenized Equities
Own the accounting, regulatory reporting, controls, and finance systems for Coinbase’s tokenized-equities issuer business in Abu Dhabi. The role requires regulated-finance experience, direct regulator engagement, and expertise applying accounting standards to complex products.

Responsibilities
- Build the accounting model for token issuance and redemption, asset tracking, intercompany flows, and the close process.
- Own FSRA regulatory compliance and reporting, including regulator liaison, reporting processes, and responses to ad hoc inquiries.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Treasury, FP&A, and Finance Data teams to ensure new flows are accurate, controlled, and scalable.
- Sign off on flow of funds, posting rules, account setup, ledger structure, reconciliations, and reporting before launch.
- Lead accounting analysis for new structures under US GAAP and IFRS, including dividends, stock splits, and balance-sheet treatment.
- Build the issuer-entity reporting framework, including annual audited IFRS financial statements, local filings, and external audit support.
- Establish controls for a regulated launch, including audit trails, books and records, and data integrity across on-chain and off-chain systems.
- Identify accounting, controls, and reporting risks and ensure each has an owner and mitigation plan.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong accounting or finance experience in a regulated setting such as capital markets, broker-dealer, exchange, custody, clearing, or digital assets.
- Experience working directly with a financial regulator through inquiries, examinations, or filings.
- Ability to apply accounting rules to new or complex products.
- Experience building finance processes for a new product, entity, or regulatory regime.
- Strong controls mindset and ability to influence systems design before launch.
- Clear communication skills and comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Familiarity with the FSRA and its regulatory framework and rulebook.
- Ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots, applying human-in-the-loop practices.
Nice to Have
- CPA, CA, or similar accounting qualification.
Compensation
- Annual base salary: AED 503,500–530,000, excluding equity and bonus.
- Total compensation may also include equity, bonus eligibility, and benefits.
