Responsibilities
- Guide customers and partners in designing and building reliable, scalable systems using MongoDB’s data platform.
- Collaborate with advisory consulting partners on reference architectures, patterns, and AI blueprints.
- Articulate the business and technical value of MongoDB solutions.
- Partner with account teams on technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and technical documentation.
- Translate technical concepts into business benefits for management and executive audiences.
- Gather field feedback and relay it to Product Management.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with technical partners and influence partner decisions.
- Drive partner Center of Excellence strategies and demand for MongoDB solutions.
- Develop joint client proposals and lead solution architecture strategy and implementation across the partner ecosystem.
- Mentor local partner organizations on IT and application operations.
- Map industry trends and competitive threats to partner account strategies.
- Support and mentor other pre-sales team members and share best practices.
- Travel up to 50%.
Requirements
- 8+ years of pre-sales experience with enterprise software and strong technical aptitude.
- Ability to code with one or more modern scripting or programming languages, such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C, C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience with scalable, highly available distributed systems.
- 2+ years of software development experience.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience selling databases or deploying applications with major cloud providers.
- Database programming and data modeling experience.
- Knowledge of Spark, cloud storage and streaming, API management, Kafka, and serverless technologies.
- Cloud provider certification.
- MongoDB certification.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, microservices, event-driven architectures, DevOps, cloud, and security.
