Senior Construction Project Manager - Electrical Infrastructure

Leads field execution and delivery of large-scale electrical infrastructure projects in Memphis, managing contractors, budgets, schedules, safety, commissioning, and turnover. Responsibilities

  • Own full-lifecycle delivery of electrical construction projects, including high-voltage substations, transformers, switchgear, BESS, data-center power distribution, UPS, generators, and low-voltage systems.
  • Lead field operations, contractor performance, safety, quality, scheduling, cost tracking, change management, and progress reporting.
  • Coordinate electrical contractors, fabricators, OEMs, utilities, internal stakeholders, civil trades, and related contractors.
  • Resolve field conflicts across high-, medium-, and low-voltage scopes.
  • Develop and manage budgets; evaluate proposals; support contract awards and administration.
  • Drive permitting, inspections, utility interconnection, equipment delivery, installation sequencing, testing, commissioning, energization, and turnover.
  • Coordinate with facilities, operations, and end users on punch-list closeout and long-term system reliability.
  • Support electrical capacity planning, space allocation, and load-growth coordination across the Memphis campus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in construction project management, preferably involving electrical, industrial, data-center, substation, or energy-storage projects.
  • Experience with construction sequencing, contractor management, safety programs, and quality control for high-voltage and data-center electrical work.
  • Familiarity with permitting, utility interconnection, and inspection processes.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to read one-line diagrams and coordinate with engineers.
  • Experience with estimating, cost control, scheduling, and change-order management.
  • Experience reviewing shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and as-builts.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights and around energized/high-voltage equipment with appropriate training and PPE.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 25 lbs.
  • Availability for extended hours and weekends when required; occasional travel may be required.

Nice-to-haves

  • 7+ years of construction project management experience on large-scale electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent vertical or electrical construction projects.
  • Data center, BESS, substation, or large-scale manufacturing/power facility construction experience.
  • Familiarity with Primavera, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling tools.
  • OSHA 30 or equivalent safety credentials.
