What You’ll Be Working On
- Cutting edge “Spark” Modular Data Center project: Collaborate with technical customer representatives, engineering and manufacturing teams to work through a state of the art modular data center design.
- Project Planning and Execution: Define clear project goals, develop strategic plans, financial budgets and manage timelines to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery from concept engineering through delivery of finished products to site.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with estimating, engineering, procurement, production, and accounting teams to align project deliverables and proactively mitigate risk.
- Customer and Stakeholder management: Develop and maintain customer relationships while managing change and holding stakeholders accountable. Scope control expert; communicate impacts of decisions.
- Budget reporting and forecasting: Break down complex projects into digestible financial budgets and reports, collaborating with manufacturing production, estimating and engineering teams.
- Strategic Change & Risk Management: Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate potential scope creep, project risks, and design changes. Develop and execute change control strategies including risk logs, action logs, RFIs, submittals and change orders.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to team members. Lead within and outside of the direct team for multiple outcomes.
- Resource Management: Identify and allocate necessary internal and external resources.
- Process Improvement: Influence manufacturing processes for continuous improvement in a new facility.
- Quality and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with design specifications, operational standards, and safety regulations (ISO 9001:2015).
- Permit Management: Track licensing requirements by AHJ, collaborate with licensing team, manage and drive project permits including package generation, engineering collaboration and deviation report resolution.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Industry Experience: Construction, Electrical Project Management or Modular Building Manufacturing experience with exposure to multi-disciplinary products (electrical, HVAC, structural, enclosure/building envelope). Modular Building Manufacturing and/or Data Center Construction experience preferred.
- Building Code & Electrical Code Knowledge: Competent in building and electrical codes for collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and AHJs.
- Project Management Experience: Minimum of 7+ years managing projects in electrical equipment, construction, engineering and/or manufacturing industry.
- Education: BS in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field.
- Complex Change Leadership & Process Ownership: Expertise in locking scope, managing change orders, and leading adoption of dynamic change management practices on FOAK or highly complex projects.
- Schedule Development & Management: Proficient in waterfall and agile methodologies using tools such as Smartsheets, MS Project, Monday.com or Primavera P6.
- Cost management: Ability to forecast, create, and manage project budgets through completion.
- Team Collaboration: Foster teamwork and influence peers.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Experience with manufacturing ERP systems like SAP, Visual, Acumatica preferred.
- Safety and Compliance: Position is safety-sensitive; drug and alcohol program participation required.
