About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead configuration and administration of Workday (primary source of truth) and ensure seamless syncs with Greenhouse (ATS), Lattice (Performance), Checkr (Background), and Slack.
  • Operate with product management philosophy: ownership, project timelines, governance, release/upgrade discipline; conduct user interviews, lead cross-functional system syncs, focus on end-user enablement and adoption.
  • Design and optimize workflows to reduce escalation, increase self-service/autonomy, and enable People team scalability.
  • Manage Jira service management queue for People Systems: triage issues, identify root causes, provide high-touch support to global workforce.
  • Partner with IT to build/monitor integrations (EIBs, Studio, iPaaS) for accurate data movement and prevent silos.
  • Ensure data is audit-ready, provides leadership insights for people-first decisions.
  • Manage security groups, conduct access audits, ensure compliance with GDPR, SOC2.
  • Lead rollout of new features, update SOPs and "How-To" guides.

Requirements

  • 5+ years hands-on in People Systems/HRIS, 3+ years deep Workday configuration (HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Security).
  • Proven project ownership from problem to solution, driving multiple workstreams, end-user enablement, documentation.
  • Product manager mindset for People tech stack.
  • Admin experience with Talent Acquisition, Performance/Engagement tools, Tier 1-3 ticketing.
  • Experience with EIBs, REST/SOAP APIs, iPaaS for troubleshooting integrations.
  • Data architecture knowledge for high data integrity across platforms.
  • Translate technical requirements for diverse users (recruiters, executives).

Nice to Have

  • Workday Pro Certifications (Core HCM, Security, Advanced Compensation, Reporting).
  • Workday Extend and/or Prism Analytics.
  • Slack integrations/Workflow Builder.

Compensation

Salary range: $108,000 - $170,000 (dependent on location, knowledge, skills, experience). Generous benefits: health, dental, vision, short-term disability, life insurance, paid holidays/PTO, fertility benefit, 401(k), equity, discretionary bonus.
