Manager, Technical Program Manager - Artificial Intelligence

Responsibilities

• Lead an experienced team of TPMs, deliver high-impact results, grow the team through hiring and professional development.
• Set program management direction for autonomy perception TPM team and iterate on development processes.
• Work with autonomy and perception software leaders to translate corporate strategy into detailed roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables.
• Create and deliver technical presentations explaining program initiatives to downstream teams.
• Represent the team in cross-departmental forums, with stakeholders, and in executive meetings.
• Establish standard reports for concise communication on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishments.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent job experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in engineering, program management, or management consulting.
• At least 5 years of experience managing a team of technical program managers.
• Deep familiarity with autonomy software development processes & proficiency in tools like Gantt charts, risk matrices, Smartsheet, JIRA.
• Ability to maintain big picture focus and provide clear, structured communications tailored to audiences.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Perception, AI/ML, autonomous vehicles, computer vision, large language models, reinforcement learning, simulation, automotive or aerospace processes.
• Experience developing and scaling strategy, processes, plans, procedures, reporting, and handling escalations.
• Experience managing through other managers.
