Product Manager, Cash Platform
Product Manager owning strategy and roadmap for Stripe's FX, cross-border payouts, and Cash Platform. Requires 5+ years PM experience, technical depth (former engineer/data scientist preferred), domain expertise in financial infrastructure, and strong cross-functional execution focused on cost, performance, and monetization.
About the job
What you'll do
You'll work closely with engineering teams across Cash Platform and Money Movement Services, cross-functional partners spanning Legal, Treasury, Financial Crimes, and Sales, and senior stakeholders inside and outside Stripe. You'll define the strategy and roadmap for Stripe's FX and cross-border payout products, drive cost optimization and routing decisions at scale, and help shape the path toward monetizing Stripe's in-house banking infrastructure for users globally.
Responsibilities
- Deeply understand the competitive landscape and define clear benchmarks for where Stripe's FX and cross-border payout products need to be
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for Cash Platform, balancing near-term cost and performance optimization with longer-term platform monetization opportunities
- Drive API design and technical decisions in close partnership with engineering leads, ensuring our infrastructure is both best-in-class and commercially oriented
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across Money Movement, Sales, and partner teams to accelerate delivery and adoption of FX and payout products
- Engage with senior customer and internal stakeholders to communicate roadmap direction, surface requirements, and build alignment
- Own decisions directly impacting the revenue and cost profile of Stripe's money movement business
Minimum requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience
- Technically deep: You have a strong technical foundation—ideally as a former engineer or data scientist—and are comfortable owning API design decisions and understanding systems end-to-end, including what is expensive from a cost and latency perspective
- Business-minded: You make decisions through the lens of revenue and commercial impact; this is infrastructure, not consumer product, and you understand the difference
- Cross-functional by default: You thrive in environments where success requires tight coordination across engineering, finance, legal, compliance, and sales—not working in silos
- Domain experienced: You've worked on FX, cross-border payments, treasury, or similar financial infrastructure at companies like Airwallex, Wise, Revolut, Payoneer, Ramp, or a major financial institution
- Strong executor: You move with speed and urgency, can manage complexity across multiple workstreams, and have a track record of shipping in ambiguous, high-stakes environments
- Strong communicator: You radiate intent—partners, stakeholders, and leaders know where you stand, what's blocked, and what's coming next
