Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Chief of Staff to execute business operations initiatives across departments.
  • Prepare investor-relations materials, participate in investor pitches, and build financial models to support growth.
  • Build prototypes, automate workflows, and use SQL to extract insights from data.
  • Review legal documents, conduct due diligence, and support negotiation of commercial terms with partners and vendors.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects, maintain priorities, and help unblock teams.
  • Support office operations and coordinate marketing campaigns or social content as needed.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in operations, finance, consulting, or a high-growth startup environment.
  • Proficiency with SQL and advanced financial modeling using Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Ability to understand legal documents and comfort with, or willingness to learn, commercial negotiations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, execution-oriented approach and comfort wearing multiple hats.
  • Comfort with Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace, plus interest in building prototypes or testing internal tools.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-person startup environment in Toronto.

Nice to Have

  • FinTech or high-growth technology experience.
  • Investment banking, venture capital, or management consulting experience.
  • Experience building processes from scratch within small, agile teams.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: CAD$60,000–80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
  • Equity of 0.01–0.05%.
  • Three weeks of vacation.
  • Group health benefits after the probation period.
