About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic roadmap and architecture for Anaplan across sales compensation, headcount planning, and forecasting modules.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for data integrity issues, leading root-cause investigations when Anaplan does not reconcile to source-of-truth systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, and Greenhouse.
  • Manage external Anaplan consultants and implementation partners, including scoping statements of work, vetting proposals, and holding vendors accountable for timelines and quality.
  • Partner with Sales Finance, Revenue Operations, Sales Compensation, and Accounting leadership to translate commission plans, ASC 606 accrual methodology, and organizational changes into scalable model designs.
  • Drive FP&A finance transformation by modernizing planning, forecasting, and reporting processes and replacing manual workflows with automation and systematization.
  • Lead process and controls improvements to identify data issues before payroll processing and month-end close.
  • Present platform strategy and build-versus-buy, technical-debt, and maintainability recommendations to finance leadership.
  • Advise FP&A leadership on finance technology and AI-enabled tooling.
  • Build and mentor a team responsible for model builds, integrations, and support.
  • Own platform governance, including user access, security, environment management, and documentation standards.
  • Drive standardization and automation across reporting.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience building and implementing Anaplan solutions, including 3+ years in a leadership or senior individual-contributor capacity.
  • Anaplan Certified Model Builder certification at Level 2 or higher; Master Anaplanner preferred.
  • Deep experience designing, developing, and maintaining Anaplan models for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and sales compensation.
  • Strong Anaplan Data Hub integration and design experience.
  • Track record of leading finance transformation initiatives and modernizing legacy processes, tools, or finance-function architecture.
  • Experience managing external consultants and implementation partners, including scoping and proposal evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of sales compensation structures, ASC 606 commission accounting, and FP&A forecasting.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex, cross-system data reconciliation issues independently.
  • Familiarity with implementation methodologies including requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and deployment; Agile experience is a plus.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior finance and sales leaders and explain technical model logic to nontechnical audiences.
  • Ability to operate with high ownership in an ambiguous, evolving environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Workato or similar integration and automation platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

  • National US base pay range: $152,000–$190,000 USD.
  • Eligible roles may receive commission or other variable compensation through the company's incentive compensation program.
  • Benefits include stock options, medical, dental, and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, pre-tax commuter benefits, a 401(k) company match, paid vacation and sick leave, paid parental leave, employer-paid disability coverage, and additional health and wellbeing benefits.
