Responsibilities
- Execute the end-to-end movement of ocean shipments within a regional network, including FCL and LCL imports and exports.
- Handle export ocean freight shipments within the regional network according to local standard operating procedures (SOPs) and digital service level agreements (SLAs).
- Recommend ways to expand Flexport’s local footprint and contribute to growth in Taiwan.
- Recommend supply chain solutions for new clients and opportunities to the account management team.
- Ensure processes and metrics support on-time shipment movement and rapid, appropriate exception resolution.
- Meet internal key performance indicators (KPIs) and SLAs that demonstrate quality delivery.
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned shippers and clients.
- Handle first-level internal and external escalations.
- Work with gateway and regional management to establish the metrics and data needed to deliver strong performance.
- Monitor and improve operational performance while supporting growth.
- Act as a subject matter expert for key initiatives and experiments focused on growth.
- Work with Account Management to design and improve feedback loops that address client needs.
- Advise global counterparts, Product and Engineering, and Operations Excellence on ocean supply chain operations and regional gateway or network strategy.
- Optimize operational infrastructure and procedures and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Lead, train, and develop emerging industry talent.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, ocean carrier operations, or consulting.
- Ocean freight knowledge is a plus.
- Strong relationship management and operational-structure development skills.
- Hands-on, process-oriented, structured approach with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to combine strategic vision with ground-level execution.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Client-service mindset focused on client satisfaction.
- Strong internal and external communication skills.
