Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
Senior Manager leading Corporate FP&A at MongoDB. Own global forecasting, planning systems modernization (incl. Pigment and AI automation), management reporting to C-suite/Board, and a small high-impact team. Responsibilities
- Build and modernize forecasting and planning tools/systems by partnering with IT, People, and Finance teams; define requirements and implement solutions for FP&A, including improvements to the Pigment financial planning system.
- Supercharge and standardize the use of AI across the FP&A team.
- Manage the company’s planning process/calendar, corporate-level forecast consolidation, and forecast reconciliation process; communicate timelines, deliverables, and expectations to stakeholders.
- Develop management reporting to summarize data and facilitate decision-making for senior leadership including the CEO, CFO, SVP of Finance, and the Board of Directors.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a small team of analysts and associates to build a world-class Corporate FP&A team.
- Partner with departments across the organization to drive operational efficiencies in cross-functional processes and systems.
- Forecast global budget items such as payroll taxes, benefits, and allocations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business, or economics (preferred); MBA a plus.
- 5+ years of experience within FP&A or other finance functions.
- Expert in financial modelling, Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and Pigment.
- Extremely organized with a natural ability to make sense of complex or messy data.
- Technically competent and curious; comfortable learning new systems, exploring tools/technologies, and building lightweight connectivity (e.g., Google Sheets plug-ins).
- Highly articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to manage challenging stakeholders with varying incentives and needs.
- Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Excited by problem solving; willing to roll up sleeves and collaborate to find answers.
- Highly driven, creative thinker skilled at creating structure in uncertain or ambiguous situations within a rapidly growing business.
- Strong project management skills; detail-oriented, enjoys multi-tasking, with excellent follow-through.
