About the role

Responsibilities

  • Work on everything developers and agents touch when they use the product, including the developer dashboard, APIs, SDKs, and the developer platform
  • Build agentic onboarding flows that quickly get developers (and their agents) from sign-up to first integration
  • Shape the Exa API and SDKs into the cleanest, most ergonomic agentic search platform in the ecosystem
  • Architect the API gateway that every Exa request flows through
  • Build account, billing, permissions, and provisioning surfaces for enterprise customers

Requirements

  • Strong generalist engineer comfortable owning the product lifecycle from design to deploy
  • Fluent in TypeScript with a strong eye for front-end design
  • Comfortable learning new tools and technology as needed
  • Experience designing and maintaining backend APIs that real users and customers depend on
  • Experience shipping products for LLMs, AI agents, or other systems used by many people
  • Care about finding high quality information and its importance for the world

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with infrastructure for crawling the web, training embedding models, or high-performant vector databases
