About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth daily field operations by creating and refining playbooks and SOPs, overseeing aspects of contractor relationship management, and performing occasional quality checks in the field and depot.
  • Own end-to-end processes such as invoicing and asset tracking.
  • Audit functional-area performance against SLAs, proactively identifying and escalating risks and inefficiencies.
  • Support relationships with city partners and address market-specific operational issues and special projects.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify root causes, using field-operations and data insights to collaborate with teams, implement solutions, and improve performance.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders, clients, and vendors, including during challenging conversations.
  • Manage shifting priorities effectively while maintaining a positive, solution-oriented attitude.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience overseeing operations in a complex, fast-moving, rapidly changing environment such as a distribution warehouse, marketplace, or delivery operation.
  • Experience using Google Sheets and other data-analysis tools to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to understand the broader context of the work.
  • Proven track record of data-based problem-solving and ability to think on your feet.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a warehouse or hands-on operations environment.
  • Interest in biking, bikeshare, sustainable transportation, and city planning.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for day-to-day productivity.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base pay range for the Washington, D.C. area: $66,240–$82,800, excluding potential equity, bonus, and benefits.
