Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end features across Go backend services and React/Next.js merchant checkout experiences.
- Develop gRPC/HTTP APIs, protobuf definitions, database migrations, and TypeScript client integrations.
- Build buyer checkout interfaces, including payment links, embeddable web components, and wallet connection flows, emphasizing conversion, accessibility, and performance.
- Implement durable, fault-tolerant workflows for onchain settlement, refunds, and reconciliation against PostgreSQL.
- Instrument services with structured logs, metrics, and traces; participate in on-call rotations.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into the broader developer platform.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
- Production experience with Go, including concurrency, gRPC, and testing.
- Production experience with TypeScript and React, including hooks, Suspense, server components, and Next.js.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, query performance, and transactional correctness.
- Experience designing protobuf/gRPC, REST, or OpenAPI APIs.
- Experience instrumenting production systems with structured observability such as Datadog or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with durable workflow systems such as Temporal, Cadence, or Step Functions, or with EVM blockchains, stablecoins, and onchain payment patterns.
- Ability to write clear design documents, pull request descriptions, and runbooks.
- Responsible use of generative AI tools with human oversight.
Compensation
- Annual base salary: $152,405–$179,300 USD.
- Total compensation may include equity, bonus eligibility, and benefits.
