Senior Associate - Venture Ecosystem Sales
Builds new business and lasting relationships across the startup and venture ecosystem for Mercury. The role combines consultative, quota-carrying sales with ecosystem events, strategic partnerships, and founder and investor engagement.

Responsibilities
- Win new business as a quota-carrying sales professional, taking deals from first meeting through close.
- Design, attend, and host intimate dinners, events, and gatherings for founders and investors.
- Build lasting one-to-one relationships across venture firms, accelerators, and early-stage communities.
- Partner with VC Partnerships and Relationship Management teams on portfolio programs, ecosystem events, and strategic initiatives.
- Help founders understand Mercury’s business banking tools, including controls and payments.
- Share field insights to inform product direction and ecosystem strategy.
Requirements
- Based in New York or San Francisco and energized by in-person relationship building.
- Willing to travel to industry events approximately 25–30% of the time.
- Sales experience with a consultative, empathetic approach; this is a quota-carrying role.
- Credibility within the startup and venture ecosystem through investing, sales, partnerships, community experience, or founding a company.
- Strong relationship-building, event-hosting, follow-up, self-direction, collaboration, and judgment skills.
Compensation
- Target base salary for US employees in New York City or the San Francisco Bay Area: $169,900–$212,400.
- Total rewards include base salary, equity (stock options/RSUs), and benefits.
