Applied AI Architect, Public Sector
This customer-facing architect advises U.S. national security and defense agencies on integrating Claude, from technical discovery and evaluation through deployment. Responsibilities
- Partner with account executives to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions aligned with business objectives and implementation needs.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor to enterprise customers throughout their Claude adoption journey, from discovery and evaluation through deployment.
- Coordinate across Sales, Product, Engineering, and other internal teams to drive customer success.
- Support customers building with Claude Code, the Claude API, and Claude for Enterprise.
- Create and deliver technical content for engineering, development, business, and executive audiences.
- Guide architecture decisions and help customers integrate Claude into existing technology stacks.
- Help customers develop evaluation frameworks to measure Claude's performance for specific use cases.
- Identify common integration patterns and share insights with Product and Engineering.
- Travel frequently to customer sites for workshops, technical deep dives, and relationship building.
- Maintain knowledge of developments in LLM capabilities and implementation patterns.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Prior experience working with U.S. national security, defense, or intelligence agencies.
- 5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Account Manager.
- Experience navigating complex buying cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills with executives, engineering teams, IT teams, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to translate customer requirements between technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with Python.
- Familiarity with common LLM frameworks and tools, or a background in machine learning or data science.
- Ability to collaborate across organizations, work through trade-offs, and balance competing priorities.
- Strong teaching, mentoring, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Relevant field of study demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual total compensation range: $275,000–$315,000 USD. For sales roles, this is the on-target earnings range, including target commissions or sales bonuses and annual base salary.
