Responsibilities
- Build production applications with Claude models within customer systems, ensuring they meet customer requirements.
- Deliver technical artifacts such as MCP servers, sub-agents, and agent skills for production workflows.
- Provide white-glove deployment support for Anthropic products in enterprise environments.
- Identify and codify repeatable deployment patterns and share insights with Product and Engineering.
- Maintain knowledge of LLM capabilities, implementation patterns, and AI product development stacks.
- Build long-term customer relationships and identify new AI deployment opportunities throughout engagements.
- Travel to customer sites as needed, estimated at 25%.
- Champion Anthropic’s mission in the field.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role such as Forward Deployed Engineer, or as a Software Engineer with consulting experience; former technical founders are also encouraged to apply.
- Production experience with LLMs, including advanced prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale.
- Strong programming skills, with proficiency in Python and ideally TypeScript, Java, or another additional language.
- Experience shipping production applications.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity in complex organizations.
- Strong cross-organizational collaboration and communication skills.
- Passion for advancing safe, beneficial AI systems through creative technical applications.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Background in financial services, healthcare/life sciences, or another enterprise vertical.
- Experience with enterprise IT systems or AI deployment patterns.
- Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or in a professional services context.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary: $280,000–$320,000 USD.
