Lead 3D Designer

Responsibilities

• Design and build 3D characters, environments, and objects for brand campaigns, product moments, and cultural activations.
• Translate 2D concepts and mood boards into fully realized 3D executions.
• Own render quality, including lighting, materials, and composition, from first pass through final delivery.
• Integrate AI image-generation workflows, including Weavy, into the 3D pipeline.
• Experiment with real-time rendering and emerging tools to accelerate ideation and production.
• Establish briefing, review, and delivery processes for 3D work across the organization.
• Partner with Art Directors to integrate 3D work into broader creative concepts.
• Maintain reusable asset libraries, rigs, and templates.
• Balance projects across brand, social, and campaign timelines while maintaining quality.
• Mentor and elevate the 3D discipline through hands-on craft and feedback.

Requirements

• 5+ years of 3D design experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating range across character, environment, and object design.
• Strong command of Blender or equivalent tools such as Cinema 4D or Maya.
• Experience with a rendering engine such as Octane or Redshift.
• Ability to integrate AI tools into a creative production pipeline.
• Fluency in sports, streetwear, or hip-hop culture reflected in portfolio work.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with real-time engines such as Unreal or Unity.
• Experience with procedural tools such as Houdini.
• Experience managing, mentoring, or directly leading 3D or design talent.
• Motion or animation experience alongside 3D design.
