Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, and development teams to understand requirements and define comprehensive testing strategies.
- Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks for web, desktop (Windows/macOS), mobile, and API platforms.
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and cases for new and existing functionality, focusing on scalability, edge cases, and real-world usage scenarios.
- Test file management features for cloud storage, including file syncing, sharing, storage, and related operations.
- Troubleshoot and investigate issues, identify root causes, reproduce bugs, and provide actionable bug reports.
- Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements review through release.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Improve testing processes, methodologies, and product quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as an SDET or in test automation.
- Knowledge of test automation concepts and automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium.
- Proficiency in scripting, including Python and Shell.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience testing highly distributed applications for scale, robustness, and real-world scenarios.
- Exceptional troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience testing complex web applications.
- Extensive experience testing desktop applications on Windows and macOS.
- Experience testing file operations, synchronization, and data integrity.
- Proficiency with manual testing tools and techniques, including API testing tools and scripting.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, and Zephyr.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience testing iOS and/or Android applications.
- Understanding of encryption methods, privacy, and security testing concepts.
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools.
