Enterprise Customer Engineer
Owns the technical customer journey for enterprise clients, from pre-sales validation through onboarding, adoption, renewal, and expansion. Requires 7+ years in a customer-facing technical role, strong enterprise architecture and commercial skills, and depth across networking, security, performance, AI, coding, or developer platforms.

Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives on technical discovery, requirements capture, infrastructure mapping, PoCs, and technical validations.
- Design Cloudflare architectures spanning DNS, CDN, Zero Trust, network security, Workers, and related solutions.
- Deliver technical presentations, architectural diagrams, demonstrations, and responses to technical and security objections.
- Define deployment strategies and oversee technical onboarding and implementation without executing the implementation directly.
- Create migration and onboarding blueprints, including DNS migrations, Zero Trust rollouts, and WAF tuning guidance.
- Monitor customer health, telemetry, integration risks, and time-to-value; provide remediation strategies.
- Carry a variable quota tied to new business and account growth; identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
- Lead technical QBRs and translate platform capabilities into business value and return on investment.
- Advise stakeholders throughout onboarding, renewal, and expansion on architecture, AI control layers, security posture, and deployment confidence.
- Use AI agents, LLMs, and internal platforms to automate RFP responses, sandbox provisioning, telemetry monitoring, and documentation.
- Create technical enablement resources, SOPs, architectural guidance, technical documentation, workshops, and developer onboarding materials.
- Travel frequently to Vietnam and communicate directly with clients in Vietnamese.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as solutions engineering, customer engineering, professional services, sales engineering, technical account management, or forward-deployed engineering.
- Ability to design and clearly articulate complex enterprise network and security architectures.
- Excellent communication, presentation, consultative, advisory, and stakeholder-management skills, including with C-level executives.
- Experience in quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environments, SaaS metrics, business-value translation, and enterprise sales cycles.
- Depth in at least four technical areas, including internet fundamentals, security, performance, AI proficiency, coding/scripting, and developer platforms.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience creating technical enablement, workshops, code samples, documentation, or developer onboarding.
- Knowledge of LLM orchestration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and model-access controls.
- Understanding of PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
- Background with hyperscalers, digital-native companies, distributed systems, or startups.
- Vietnamese fluency.
- Experience with BGP, GRE, TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTP(S), SSL/TLS, WAF, bot management, firewalls, rate limiting, mTLS, Zero Trust, SASE, caching, video streaming, HTTP/2, TLS 1.3, prompt engineering, AI-assisted scripting, LLMs, workflow automation, Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua, Go, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, SDKs, webhooks, Terraform, Pulumi, CI/CD, and observability.
Compensation
- Competitive base salary plus variable compensation tied to new business acquisition, adoption milestones, and account expansion.
- Travel of approximately 20–50% may be required.
