Senior frontend engineer and technical leader responsible for improving frontend systems, developer tooling, operational excellence, and feature delivery. Responsibilities
- Partner with engineers to improve frontend systems and developer experience.
- Collaborate with application development teams on application design.
- Implement significant portions of systems and support other engineers with implementation.
- Make technical decisions aligned with business outcomes and deliver frameworks and platforms that improve delivery quality.
- Own features end to end, from collaboration with product and design through shipping and monitoring impact.
- Perform design and code reviews.
- Build developer frameworks that improve velocity, code quality, and code health.
- Improve frontend operational excellence, including reliability, performance, instrumentation, and measurability.
- Identify opportunities to improve frontend systems.
- Drive frontend pipeline changes to improve developer experience and time to ship.
- Define approaches for application performance monitoring and improvement.
- Mentor engineers on best practices and patterns.
Requirements
- 5+ years of UI development experience.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular.
- Experience with Spring Boot.
- Experience with React.
- Knowledge of Jenkins.
- Ability to work across the stack; backend systems knowledge is a plus.
- Track record of driving change in engineering organizations.
- Ability to motivate people, establish accountability, and achieve results.
- Experience owning features from design through production monitoring.
