Developer Advocate

Leads DevRel strategy to drive adoption of computer vision tools among developers. Builds demos, content, integrations, and engages communities through talks, social media, and events. Requires 6+ years engineering and 3+ years DevRel experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own DevRel strategy and execution at Roboflow
  • Drive awareness and adoption of Roboflow tools in the developer community
  • Develop tools and integrations to help make Roboflow easier and better for software developers to use
  • Build projects that will help improve the bleeding edge of the main Roboflow product
  • Create demos, applications, and technical content while sharing your progress online and promoting Roboflow on social media (ie X, LinkedIn, Twitch, etc)
  • Create content to educate, inspire, and equip technical audiences with tools and techniques that make them better at their craft
  • Work with Product, Engineering, and Design to develop new projects in support of the launch of new features
  • Write guides, examples, and documentation to make our software more accessible and understandable
  • Build community with Roboflow users and developers online and in-person; being incredibly helpful and inspirational to the community, giving talks, attending conferences, winning hackathons, and hosting events
  • Be an active participant in communities like HN, relevant subreddits, Discord groups, GitHub Issues, and the Roboflow forum

Requirements

  • 6+ years of engineering experience
  • 3+ years of DevRel related experience, preference for products in B2B, AI, cloud, and/or developer tools
  • Track record of shipping software projects with fast adoption and viral growth, either as part of a previous job or on your own
  • Technical background that enables you to build fast and learn new things quickly
  • Translate complex information into engaging and easy-to-understand content, guides, tutorials, examples, and applications
  • End-to-end content creation skillset across written, video, and social media
  • Self-starter with the ability to analyze ambiguous situations, develop a plan, execute and iterate
  • Operate with urgency, build consensus, and lead cross-functional teams
  • Customer focus and motivated to become an expert on our industry, customers, product, ecosystem, and competitors
  • Active contributor to communities online and/or in-person

Compensation

  • Target compensation: $175,000 to $195,000 base salary
  • $4000/yr Travel Stipend
  • $350/mo Productivity stipend
