Senior Principal, Marketing Strategic Finance & Analytics
Leads strategic finance and analytics for Airbnb’s marketing organization, evaluating investments, budgets, KPIs, and campaign ROI while partnering with Finance, Marketing, Data Science, and senior leadership. Requires 15+ years of relevant experience and strong financial modeling, analytical, and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Support marketing investment strategy, including spend allocation and pacing discussions with Finance and Marketing leadership.
- Track marketing media and production budgets and inform strategic allocations.
- Establish KPI frameworks and set and monitor targets, OKRs, and efficiency goals for marketing channels and campaigns.
- Develop ROI calculation methodologies with Data Science and Research teams and lead holistic campaign reviews.
- Support weekly reporting and quarterly campaign performance reviews.
- Conduct analytical deep dives into business trends and variance drivers, including data extraction, analysis, visualization, and presentation.
- Partner with Marketing, Product Marketing, Hosting, Finance, and Data Science leadership to develop strategy and improve business performance.
Requirements
- 15+ years of relevant business and analytics experience, ideally combining financial planning, management consulting, and/or analytics.
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
- SQL experience preferred.
- Ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
- Strong communication skills and ability to synthesize large datasets into narratives and recommendations.
- Advanced presentation skills using Google Docs, Keynote, and Excel.
- Understanding of current social networking systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in the marketing ecosystem, such as media agencies, content providers, or brands.
- Familiarity with marketing channels and KPIs, acquisition funnel analysis, and campaign effectiveness evaluation.
Compensation
- Base pay range: $204,000-$245,000 USD.
- May also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
