Head of Finance / Expert in Residence [XIR]
Leads finance operations for a fast-growing B2B SaaS company while serving as a finance subject-matter expert for product, engineering, and go-to-market teams. Requires qualified-accountant credentials and at least four years of scaleup experience, with strong revenue-recognition and operational finance expertise.

Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end close and reconciliations with fractional accounting teams.
- Own revenue recognition policy and audit readiness.
- Hire and transition accounting operations fully in-house.
- Provide product feedback and prioritization for ASC 606 / IFRS 15 revenue-recognition and billing modules.
- Own quarterly finance board packs.
- Manage liquidity balances across bank accounts.
- Establish robust, scalable processes and procedures across the finance stack, including:
- QuickBooks Online (US ERP)
- Xero (UK ERP)
- Sequence (accounts receivable and quote-to-cash)
- Ramp (accounts payable)
- Gusto (US payroll)
- PayFit (UK payroll)
- Represent the company at finance events, customer and prospect calls, and onsite presentations.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant: CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Able to close books autonomously when needed.
- 4+ years of experience in fast-growing B2B SaaS or AI scaleups.
- Able to work across London and New York City time zones.
- Proven track record of success and commitment to contribute over 3–4+ years.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience building FP&A models and preparing quarterly board updates.
- Experience scaling a company from Series A to Series C or later.
- Hands-on experience with finance products such as Maxio, Chargebee, Zuora, or Stripe Billing.
- In-person availability in New York City or London.
