Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant partners with Carrier Operations on contract accounting, month-end close, variance analysis, SOX controls, and process automation. The role requires a bachelor’s degree, at least three years of accounting experience, advanced spreadsheet skills, and familiarity with complex billing data.

Responsibilities
- Partner with Carrier Operations to streamline information flow and improve data integrity between systems.
- Review and document the financial and accounting implications of complex carrier agreements, including security deposits, minimum commitments, and volume-based pricing tiers.
- Support month-end close through accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Analyze monthly P&L and balance-sheet fluctuations for carrier cost accounts; identify billing anomalies, investigate route- and carrier-level margins, and explain business drivers to leadership.
- Maintain SOX compliance and accounting policy documentation, and support external auditors on carrier COGS matters.
- Identify process inefficiencies, determine root causes, and build systematic solutions using AI and automation tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a highly quantitative field.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally spanning public accounting and a technology, telecommunications, or CPaaS environment.
- Foundational knowledge of US GAAP, month-end close processes, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and comfort working with complex billing datasets.
- Hands-on experience with AI and automation tools such as Alteryx, UiPath, Gemini, or NotebookLM.
- Strong ownership, organization, problem-solving, and written and verbal English communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- CPA, Chartered Accountant, or local equivalent.
- Experience with carrier relations, telecom accounting, or high-volume usage-based vendor structures.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion, NetSuite, Zuora, or BlackLine.
- Experience using SQL, Python, or advanced data-visualization tools to automate reconciliations.
