Product Manager, Cards
Owns the end-to-end roadmap for Rain's cards product, including cardholder experience, platform capabilities, and growth levers for fintech partners. Drives prioritization, ships features, and iterates based on partner feedback and metrics. Requires 8-10 years PM experience with technical fluency in payments and blockchain.
About the job
What You’ll Do
- Own the roadmap for Rain’s cards product — cardholder experience, platform capabilities, and growth — and drive it end to end
- Partner deeply with engineering on platform and infrastructure tradeoffs (issuing flows, authorization behavior, ledger design, network integrations) and translate them into partner-facing product decisions
- Define and ship the card experience our fintech, neobank, and institutional partners put in front of their users — onboarding, activation, spend controls, and lifecycle
- Build and tune the activation and growth levers that drive adoption, usage, and retention of cards across partner programs
- Translate complex payments and stablecoin infrastructure into intuitive product surfaces
- Gather feedback directly from partners, distill it into sharp prioritization, and push the team toward the highest-leverage work
- Measure ruthlessly, iterate quickly, and set a bar others want to work to
What We’re Looking For
- 8-10 years of product management experience, with a track record of shipping products from zero-to-one through scale at a product-led company with a strong engineering culture and high bar for quality
- Exceptional product judgment and analytical rigor — you’re someone others describe as one of the sharpest PMs they’ve worked with, and you consistently raise the bar for the people around you
- A senior, autonomous operator who can define the problem, drive the plan, and own the outcome without needing close direction
- Strong technical fluency (APIs, payments systems, blockchain concepts) and the instinct to pull on technical threads yourself rather than defer to engineering
- Genuinely excited to live in the details — you believe product quality is won in the specifics and are energized by the work to get them right
- Excellent written and verbal communication; you can operate with sophisticated external partners and internal engineering teams with equal ease
- Proven ability to ship quickly, measure adoption, and iterate in a fast-moving environment
Nice to Have, But Not Mandatory
- Experience with card issuing, payments, or cross-border fintech products
- Exposure to stablecoins, crypto, or smart contract ecosystems
- Previous startup or hypergrowth environment experience
