IT Support Engineer

Provides advanced Mac fleet, identity, network, SaaS, and service-desk engineering while automating IT operations and delivering onsite support. Requires 3–5 years of IT experience, macOS command-line expertise, MDM and identity administration, scripting, and networking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure across identity, endpoints, networks, and SaaS.
  • Build automated joiner, mover, and leaver workflows and extend internal Python-based dashboards and automation.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point, resolving recurring issues through permanent fixes.
  • Engineer and troubleshoot macOS fleets using system logs, launch agents and daemons, configuration profiles, plists, disk tools, FileVault, and Terminal.
  • Manage MDM deployments, configuration baselines, OS updates, compliance remediation, endpoint health, and asset inventory.
  • Administer identity systems, including SSO/SAML applications, SCIM provisioning, role mappings, and MFA resets.
  • Administer Google Workspace, including accounts, groups, delegation, mail routing, delivery troubleshooting, bulk administration, and scripted work.
  • Diagnose provisioning issues across HRIS, identity providers, and SaaS applications.
  • Manage office Wi-Fi, wired LAN, VLANs, DHCP, and DNS; troubleshoot connectivity and coordinate ISP/vendor escalations.
  • Maintain conference-room AV, video systems, printers, desks, and peripherals.
  • Own IT projects from scope through delivery and communicate status to stakeholders.
  • Manage service-desk tickets, access requests, hardware and software issues, lockouts, and Workspace administration.
  • Provide white-glove onsite support, including support for leadership and onsite events.
  • Maintain knowledge-base articles and runbooks.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in IT support or IT engineering, including at least 2 years supporting a predominantly Mac fleet.
  • Advanced macOS endpoint administration and troubleshooting, including command-line fluency with Bash/Zsh.
  • Experience administering Google Workspace, an identity/SSO platform, MDM, and ITSM tooling.
  • Working knowledge of SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM.
  • Scripting experience with Bash/Zsh and Python.
  • Solid networking fundamentals covering Wi-Fi, LAN, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.
  • Ability to build automation that reduces manual IT operations.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, ticket-queue management, SLA discipline, and follow-through.
