Account Director
The Account Director will manage strategic enterprise accounts in Tokyo, lead complex AI sales cycles through deployment, and own consumption revenue targets. The role requires 7+ years of SaaS or PaaS sales experience, executive relationship management, technical communication, and fluency in Japanese and English.

Responsibilities
- Manage approximately a dozen key accounts, developing and executing comprehensive account plans.
- Lead enterprise prospects from consideration through successful deployment.
- Partner with solutions and research engineering teams to build and execute complex customer programs and projects.
- Own and forecast a consumption revenue target.
- Analyze key account metrics to create reports and provide insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor the industry landscape, including people, competitors, and partners, to inform product roadmaps and corporate strategies.
- Collaborate with solutions, marketing, communications, business operations, people operations, finance, product management, and engineering.
- Support recruiting and onboarding teammates.
- Support company culture development.
- Lead high-visibility customer events, including customer advisory boards, conferences, and product launches.
Requirements
- 7+ years selling platform-as-a-service and/or software-as-a-service.
- History of achieving revenue targets exceeding $1M per year for more than 3 years.
- Experience designing and executing complex deal strategies.
- Experience supporting the growth of fast-growing, high-performance companies.
- Experience working directly with C-level executives.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience gathering, distilling, and processing complex market intelligence across industries, competitors, customers, and prospects.
- Proficiency in both Japanese and English.
- Customer-centric approach and strong executive relationship-building skills.
- Passion for or deep curiosity about artificial intelligence.
- Strategic thinking and go-to-market expertise.
- Ability to build systems and processes in an evolving organization.
