Responsibilities
- Serve as an embedded regulatory thought partner to Engineering, Product, and Operations teams, providing real-time guidance on technology in healthcare delivery, AI, and clinical modalities.
- Translate AI, data-use, healthcare, and related subregulatory requirements into practical guidance and tools for non-legal stakeholders.
- Advise on regulations and guidance including TCPA, COPPA, CAN-SPAM, NIST AI RMF, the NIST Generative AI Profile, FDA Software as a Medical Device requirements, and FTC advertising, marketing, and health-claims guidance.
- Anticipate regulatory challenges and proactively develop solutions that enable business objectives while mitigating risk.
- Build cross-functional relationships and position legal guidance as a business enabler.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of post-bar-admission legal experience.
- Significant healthcare regulatory expertise, particularly in health technology and product counseling.
- Deep understanding of multistate healthcare regulations and evolving regulatory environments.
- Experience advising Engineering, Product, and/or Operations teams in a healthcare technology environment.
- Ability to translate complex healthcare regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance.
- Proven ability to balance business risk appetite with business objectives in fast-paced organizations.
- Strong communication skills and political savvy.
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in good standing; ability to register as New York in-house counsel.
Compensation
- Annual salary: $179,200–$280,000.
