Responsibilities
Serve as trusted counsel to product, engineering, and model teams, providing strategic legal support for AI research and model development projects.
Collaborate with sales to develop efficient processes that accelerate deal closures while maintaining rigorous legal standards.
Negotiate commercial contracts enabling delivery of AI solutions to healthcare providers globally.
Design and implement a comprehensive privacy program compliant with HIPAA and Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), safeguarding sensitive medical data in partnership with security and product teams.
Build scalable legal processes, tools, and infrastructure, including internal documentation and a modern legal technology stack.
Monitor emerging legal and policy trends in generative AI to support regulatory compliance and innovation.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of legal experience, including at least 2 years negotiating commercial contracts and technology transactions, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited institution.
Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
Experience in healthcare technology or artificial intelligence, with an understanding of the legal challenges in these sectors.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and shape legal strategies in emerging fields.
Strong cross-functional relationship-building and adaptable communication skills.
Ability to balance business risk-taking with organizational protections.

Salary range: $180,000–$230,000.
