Responsibilities
- Lead an engineering team building next-generation Materialized View features for the Databricks Lakeflow platform.
- Recruit, develop, and upskill top-tier engineering talent.
- Build processes to implement product vision and strategy in line with organizational goals and priorities.
- Build software that is high quality, reliable, and easy to operate.
- Partner with product management and customers to understand customer needs.
- Own testing, quality, and service-level agreements for infrastructure products.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building data infrastructure systems such as Apache Spark or database internals.
- Passion for database systems, storage systems, distributed systems, or performance optimization.
- Experience managing engineering teams in complex technical domains, such as distributed data systems or database internals.
- Experience ensuring high-quality and reliable infrastructure services.
- Experience attracting, hiring, coaching, and developing engineers.
- Experience working with product management and directly with customers.
Compensation
- Local pay range: $228,600–$317,233 USD.
- Total compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
