C++ Software Engineer - OESIS Framework

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and test the OESIS Framework in C++ across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Implement support for third-party security applications using scripting languages such as Squirrel, Python, PowerShell, and Lua.
• Own features end to end, including requirements clarification, design, implementation, unit and functional testing, and release.
• Use AI coding assistants and agentic tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot for code generation, refactoring, test creation, and debugging, while remaining accountable for shipped code quality.
• Build and share AI-assisted engineering practices, including reusable prompts, skills, workflows, and review standards for AI-generated code.
• Prototype and evaluate AI-powered endpoint-security capabilities, including LLM-assisted endpoint posture analysis, automated detection-gap triage, and support for integrating third-party applications.
• Research and apply new technologies.
• Participate in and, at senior level, lead peer code and design reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Management and QA.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5+ years of professional experience, with feature ownership and mentoring experience for senior-level candidates.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
• Experience with multithreaded programming and system design.
• Strong coding and debugging skills, including navigating large codebases and diagnosing issues across operating-system boundaries.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agentic development tools, including reviewing, verifying, and testing AI-generated code.
• Working knowledge of LLM fundamentals relevant to engineering, including prompt and context design, tool/function calling, output evaluation, and data privacy.
• Experience conducting code and design reviews.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Development experience on Windows, Linux, and/or macOS.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python, Squirrel, Lua, or other scripting languages.
• Experience integrating Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar LLM APIs; familiarity with MCP, RAG, or agent frameworks.
• Familiarity with native Windows, macOS, and Linux APIs and system layouts.
• Cybersecurity experience in endpoint protection, EDR/antivirus integration, CVE/vulnerability management, or device posture/compliance.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, SQLite, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
