Accounting Manager
The Accounting Manager will oversee global close processes, general ledger operations, multi-entity reporting, internal controls, tax support, and audit activities. The role requires a bachelor’s degree, at least five years of progressive accounting experience, strong Excel and ERP skills, and preferably CPA certification.

Responsibilities
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual global financial statement close processes in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses for cash, prepaids, accruals, intercompany, operating expenses, and other accounts.
- Develop and implement accounting strategies and frameworks for new international entities.
- Standardize accounting policies, procedures, and reporting processes across global operations.
- Manage external accounting service providers and internal stakeholders supporting international entities.
- Support external reporting through account reconciliation and analysis for cash flow statements, financial statement footnotes, and disclosures.
- Support quarterly, annual, and interim external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
- Support daily financial activities, including chart of accounts maintenance, foreign subsidiary accounting, and intercompany accounting.
- Maintain effective internal controls over general ledger records, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Support state sales and use tax filings for California and other states by providing transaction data to Avalara.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accounting information is accurate and timely.
- Implement best practices and support ad hoc projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred, including 2+ years in a public company with consolidation and multi-entity reporting experience.
- Understanding of internal controls and auditing processes.
- Experience solving problems and working with large volumes of data.
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large datasets and pivot tables.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice-to-haves
- CPA certification.
