About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the face of IT and provide hands-on support for the DC office.
  • Own employee IT onboarding and offboarding, including device provisioning and process improvements.
  • Resolve Tier-1 support requests within service-level agreements (SLAs), working alongside an internal AI agent and building automations and AI workflows to reduce resolution time.
  • Build and maintain an audit-ready asset-management system for laptops, peripherals, and specialty hardware across offices, international travelers, and remote employees.
  • Support the IT buildout of new offices and maintain conference-room, audiovisual (AV), and visitor-system technology.
  • Evaluate new vendors and tools, including SSO/SCIM integration, device packaging, and documentation.
  • Manage IT hardware procurement and inventory.
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain conference-room hardware and software.
  • Provide timely resolution for hardware and software issues.

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of experience in IT support, particularly in a dynamic technology environment.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Apple/macOS laptops, with familiarity across Windows and Linux as needed.
  • Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM), such as Iru, Jamf, or similar tools.
  • Experience working in a ticketing or helpdesk system, such as Jira Service Management, and meeting SLAs.
  • Basic administration experience with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365.
  • Proven ability to manage IT hardware procurement and inventory.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, customer-service instincts, clear communication, and reliable follow-through.
  • Willingness to lift or carry desktop computers weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Interest in work supporting privacy and national security.
