IT Engineer

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on IT support for in-office and remote employees by resolving help desk tickets and delivering customer service.
  • Support the MDM fleet, including macOS and Linux devices.
  • Troubleshoot basic network issues and A/V systems in the office.
  • Administer and improve Okta and core SaaS tooling, including integrations and role-based access controls.
  • Coordinate hardware purchasing and track assets throughout their lifecycle, from purchase through decommissioning.
  • Create clear technical documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support IT initiatives, project execution, prioritization, and stakeholder communication.
  • Support access reviews and basic identity-security tasks.
  • Support employee, intern, and contractor onboarding and offboarding.
  • Create automations to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with the IT team and autonomously when needed, maintaining consistent practices and documentation across locations.

Requirements

  • Practical experience administering Okta users, groups, and basic application integrations; Terraform experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Workspace.
  • Hands-on MDM experience with macOS, ideally FleetDM.
  • Experience supporting macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android devices.
  • Experience with procurement and asset management processes.
  • Clear, concise technical writing skills for documentation and knowledge-base content.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Basic understanding of security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with low-code automation tools such as Serval, Okta Workflows, and Gumloop.
  • Familiarity with Bash or Python scripting.
  • Understanding of API integrations and webhooks.
  • Experience with AWS provisioning and IAM Identity Center.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, or FedRAMP frameworks.
  • Experience with AI tools, agents, MCPs, automations, and prompting.
  • Familiarity with Notion and Linear for documentation and project management.
  • HRIS integration experience with HiBob, Workday, or similar systems.

Compensation and Benefits

  • US base salary range: $140,000–$220,000, plus equity and benefits.
  • Benefits include health insurance and other competitive benefits.
