Frontend Software Engineer

What You’ll Do

• Build responsive, performant web applications that make complex AI-driven healthcare data simple, accessible and usable.
• Collaborate closely with design, product, and backend engineers to bring ideas from concept to production.
• Own your own testing, own releasing software to production and monitor its life.
• Create reusable components and frontend infrastructure that scales with the team and product.
• Obsess over details of interaction (create delight), accessibility (all people need access!), and performance (if it’s slow, it’s a no-go) to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Shape the look, feel, and usability of Collate’s products at a formative stage in the company’s journey.
• Partner with backend and ML teams to integrate APIs and models into smooth and information rich interfaces for customers.

Requirements

• Strong experience building modern web applications with React, TypeScript, or similar frameworks. (Next.js and Tailwind experience is a plus!)
• A deep care for design, usability, and accessibility — you see frontend engineering as product design.
• The ability to translate complex, technical concepts into simple, intuitive user experiences.
• Comfort working across the stack when needed, with a passion for owning the frontend experience.
• A track record of shipping high-quality features quickly while maintaining technical rigor in complex systems.
• Motivation to work in an early-stage startup where your contributions directly shape both product and culture.
