Leads revenue accounting for a high-growth SaaS company, overseeing complex transactions, ASC 606 treatment, close activities, audits, and revenue reporting. The role also mentors a team and partners cross-functionally with finance and business systems teams.

Responsibilities
- Analyze and review complex revenue transactions.
- Provide subject matter expertise and direction on technical revenue accounting issues under ASC 606.
- Articulate accounting impacts to business partners.
- Participate in month-end and quarter-end close activities, including revenue analyses, journal entries, account reconciliations, and revenue recognition.
- Lead quarterly reviews and year-end financial audits by external auditors.
- Analyze sales transactions in ERP systems to ensure data accuracy and revenue schedule integrity, including revenue allocations.
- Review and validate revenue streams for appropriate revenue treatment.
- Review contract write-ups to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606.
- Assist with executive-level analytics for internal and external presentations.
- Work cross-functionally with GL, OTC, FP&A, and Business Systems on new product initiatives.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests.
- Hire, manage, and mentor a small team of revenue accountants.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CA/CPA preferred.
- At least 7+ years of experience in a similar role at a public, high-growth SaaS or technology company.
- Experience with revenue operations, revenue recognition, and reconciliation processes involving sales data, customer contracts, and new product offerings.
- Deep expertise in ASC 606.
- Experience hiring, managing, and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working with large volumes of data.
- Knowledge of ERP and CRM systems, including NetSuite and Salesforce.
- Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and cross-functional business-partnering skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.
