About the job
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end characterization of tools, defining criteria to measure, running software tests, pushing the limits of our hardware, and logging failure to inform engineering decisions
- Build software testing programs from scratch
- Diagnose complex system errors by sitting down with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to map out problem matrices and track down root causes
- Lead with rigorous and concise written and verbal communication
- Set clear timelines and hold yourself and cross-functional teams accountable for rigorous documentation and testing standards
Required Experience
- 2 years of experience as a test engineer or applications engineer with a demonstrated command of best practices in finding and diagnosing errors
- Ability to write code and create automated testing programs from scratch
- Hands-on capability to build and run electrical tests
- Strong mechanical intuition combined with a highly detail-oriented, scientific mindset
- Clear, fast verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface across multiple engineering disciplines
Nice-to-have
- Prior experience with mechanical design
- PCB design experience
