Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all operational aspects of the business in Mexico, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with global standards.
- Develop and execute local business strategies aligned with regional and global objectives to drive growth and profitability.
- Identify, negotiate, and maintain partnerships with local partners to optimize service offerings and expand the network.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing local team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Drive customer success by maintaining service quality, resolving issues, and building long-term client relationships.
- Own and execute Flexport Mexico’s commercial strategy, overseeing the local sales organization to grow existing accounts, acquire new customers, and expand Flexport’s footprint in the Mexican market.
- Monitor local market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Uphold legal, regulatory, and ethical standards across the operation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
- At least 7 years of leadership experience.
- Proven success growing a freight forwarding business in Mexico, with strong relationships among local buyers of freight forwarding services.
- Deep understanding of Mexico’s logistics landscape and experience working with local partners, airlines, shipping lines, and government regulations.
- Proven ability to develop and execute operational strategies that drive growth and efficiency.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with experience managing customer and partner relationships.
- Hands-on experience managing complex supply chain operations, including process improvement and technology implementation.
